This policy explains what information Otto Schmitz LLC ("TravelKitsForDogs", "we", "us") collects when you visit www.travelkitsfordogs.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you place an order

Checkout is handled by our payment provider, Stripe. When you order, we receive your name, email address, shipping address, the items you bought and the amounts paid. Your card or other payment details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

When you contact us

If you email or call us, we keep what you send us so we can help you.

When you browse the site

Your cart and cookie choice are saved in your own browser so they're there when you come back. This stays on your device.
Analytics and advertising cookies, only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner: Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel help us measure our ads. They collect information such as your browser and device type, pages you visit, and actions like adding to cart or completing a purchase. If you accept, we also tell Meta about your purchase directly from our server (Meta's Conversions API), so our ad results are counted correctly. Your email, name and address are scrambled (hashed) before they're sent.

Cart reminders

At checkout, Stripe may ask if you'd like offers by email. If you tick that box and leave without finishing your order, we may send you one reminder with a link back to your cart. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share information only with companies that help us run the store, and only what they need:

Stripe: payment processing and sales tax calculation
Supabase: secure storage of order records
Resend: sending order emails and cart reminders
DigitalOcean: website hosting
Our suppliers and shipping carriers: your name and address so your order can be delivered
Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Pixel and Conversions API): only if you accept cookies

We do not sell your personal information for money. Under California law, letting Google and Meta use this data for advertising can count as "sharing" personal information. You can opt out at any time by choosing "Decline" under . We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

Cookies: change your choice anytime with , or clear cookies in your browser.
Emails: we only send emails about your order. We don't send marketing emails unless you sign up for them.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfill and support orders and to meet tax and accounting requirements. We delete or anonymize information we no longer need.

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
